Africa & The Middle East

In addition, ISU has programs in Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda. The Americas

The Americas comprise the totality of the continents of North and South America. Together, they make up most of the land in Earth's western hemisphere and comprise the New World. Along with their associated islands, they cover 8% of Earth's total surface area and 28.4% of its land area.





English is one of Hong Kong’s official languages, so you will have no problem being understood and getting around this lively “world city.” Gangnam style, K-pop, a rich history, and a fascinating political climate can all be seen up close in Seoul. From trendy Tokyo to picturesque Mount Fuji, you will encounter a unique culture, amazing food, and friendly people in Japan. Thailand has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world and offers many Buddhist temples to see. 



Australia & New Zealand

Find yourself on the other side of the world in Australia, where the seasons are reversed and the wonders of nature will always surprise you. Australia is a vast country where you’ll encounter completely different flora and fauna in the mountains, forests, beaches, reefs, and deserts. New Zealand is often the ultimate destination for outdoor adventure because its geography is so very green, lush, and awe-inspiring. New Zealand’s north and south islands also invite you to explore its cities, vineyards, hiking paths, and the indigenous Maori culture.



Italy, Spain & Greece

In Italy you can find a country full of history and cultural treasures. Italy is also known as the land of “la dolce vita” meaning “the sweet life”. If you visit Spain, you could participate in their afternoon “siesta” and take a nap or spend extra time with family and friends. You could also participate in many of their annual fiestas and try the local paella. In Greece you will experience a diverse and lively culture centered around food, music, and tradition.






Central & Northern Europe

Come see what the heart of Europe has to offer! ISU has many programs in Belgium, France, Germany, and Switzerland that will allow you to explore many Central European capitals by traveling a short distance via train. Come spend a semester in this part of the world to experience progressive cities and some of the planet’s most breathtaking nature. 






United Kingdom & Ireland

Comprised of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom consists of four countries that date back thousands of years, each with its own distinct culture and history. Ireland offers you the chance to study abroad at top institutions or intern for organizations that tie into your major. The Irish people are friendly and welcoming, and willing to help you find your Irish roots!
