The Study Abroad Center compiles annual statistics on all ISU study abroad student demographics. Below are the statistics for recent years. Older statistics are available upon request, please send an email to studyabroad@iastate.edu and provide some context for your request. Reports are given for the academic year, so each reporting cycle begins with the fall semester term and ends with the summer term of the following calendar year. The statistics provided in these reports look at:
- Number of students who studied abroad
- Number of students who studied abroad per college
- Number of students abroad per term
- Number of students abroad on each continent
- Number of students abroad per country
- Gender breakdown
- Academic standing
- In-state vs. out-of-state
